Operation day!!!

6th October

Walking up was difficult, i felt like i hadnt slept in a week. Technically it would of been nearly a week that i hadnt of had a decent sleep. Noahs Operation was to be done early, so we went to hospital early and hadd our last few cuddles before he went, even got to give him his wash. They do it in a red soap its so theres no germs on him and that afterwards theres less risk of infection, so you need to wash every single inch of him well in this red soap. He smlet lovely though. Then we got the go ahead to walk him down to the opertion ward. I held him tight walking them 2 minutes too the door, then give him to the nurse for her to bring him in. Last thing i remeber seeing of him was him dreaming, not having  a clue what was about to happen. We kissed him our last kisses, it could of been our last time we kissed him and hugged him so we made it count. I looked at stuart and he looked like a broken man. I left him to have that moment, as i went to the breast pumping room to express and broke down as well. We where going to make plans to go to london but there was no way. I meet him outside  the ward next to the lift and we looked at each other, hugged each other and walked quietly to a shop to grab things for breakfast.
Got to Ronald McDonald house, went to the kitchen made breakfast and headed to our room, all without a word. It was hard. If we talked we would of cried.
Fast forward few hours i fell asleep and stuart was watching his phone. I woke and it was 2.30pm
Knowing It was near the time Noah was to come out of theater I was straight up watching my phone to ring. It rang at 3.00pm and i was never as glad. The surgon said the operation went well and we could head to the ICU that they where getting noah comfy. As soon as i went in to ICU all the noise was hard to shut out. Looked for Noah and we knew where he was. It was such a shock. He was swollen with alot of wires, tubes and medication. It did not look like Noah. His chest was still open with wee sticker over it saying "open chest". The bed he was in had a heater over it to keep him warm. It was roasting along with being wrapped up well, so we gave him big kisses and held his hands and told him he has been such a strong boy and we are so happy to see him, spent ages looking at him we didnt see the time coming in, it was past dinner so no where was open bar the places in town, and i was still raw so we sat abit longer until nurse switch over at 9pm. Switch over was quick and we where wrecked, the new nurse asked us if we had accommodation and we said yes only round the corner. She told us to go and get some sleep, so we got the ICU number so we could ring to check on him. We left after aload of kisses, got a pizza for dinner, rang up and all was fine. We couldnt get over what had just went on.
Day after was good. My auntie and her other half came to see us. we had tea and coffee with chats and the best part was the doctor said his cheast could be closed as they where happy with his progress.
